Problem: "Customization changes have changed your personalized view of ...

Detail
"Customization changes have changed your personalized view of . Please contact your administrator or reset your personalized view."

Is it possible to prevent this message and set all users back to the default Active Search Result List as defined in the Customization system? Where is the personalized view of the result list stored?
Resolution
All users who have customized their view of an Active Search Result List and set it as default will see this message after the Active Search Result List had been changed by the customizer.

The personalized view of an Active Search Result List for a user is stored in the table "List_View". This table holds the User_Id, Table_Id, and the Fields which are stored as a XML string.

To prevent the user from getting the "Customization changes have changed your personalized view of …" message one can delete the record from table "List_View" which is associated to the user as well as the table the Active Search Result List belongs to. Doing this will reset the user's view of the Active Search Result List back to the default settings as specified in the Customization system.

Note: deleting all records associated to a specific table will reset ALL personalized views for ALL Active Search Result Lists.
This type of change needs serious consideration as different users can belong to different security groups and each security group could specify a different default Active Search Result List.
