'Global' Quick Search Error

Error while attempting to perform a Global Quick Search reads "Show page failed. Unable to load the Active Searches meta information."

Resolution
'Global' functionality is only available if there is at least one desktop findable field plus security permissions open for the field’s table Read access, business object and a search result list all in the security group Active Access connection type. If this is not the case, the error message will be raised.
